I am the VP of Engineering at [Cognition](https://cognition.ai), the applied AI lab behind [Devin](https://devin.ai). I'm focused on building the future of software engineering with AI.

Previously, I was VP of Engineering at [Xbox](https://xbox.com) and SVP of Product at [GitHub](https://github.com). Before Microsoft, I was VP of AI at [Vercel](https://vercel.com) where I created [v0.app](https://v0.app) and [AI SDK](https://ai-sdk.dev). I joined Vercel after they [acquired my build system startup Turborepo](https://techcrunch.com/2021/12/09/vercel-acquires-turborepo/) in late 2021. Prior to Vercel and Turborepo, I ran a software development and design studio in New York City.

I angel invest in early-stage startups that I'm passionate about. If I'm not working or [posting on X](https://x.com/jaredpalmer), I'm likely skiing on the east coast, going to concerts, or hanging with friends.
